The knowledge base
What we make, how it was tested, what is in it, and how to get it. If it is not answered here, ask the Oracle: oracle@nostrildamus.fun.
We did, along with the crowds around us. Nostrildamus was built by Australian festivalgoers and refined season after season at Australian bush doofs: remote, dusty, multi-day outdoor dance festivals where the nearest chemist is hours away. Every product in the kit earned its place out there before it earned a name.
A bush doof is an Australian outdoor dance festival held on red dirt, often for days at a time. Testing there means real dust, real heat, real cold nights and no resupply. It is why the saline comes sealed in single doses, why the strips are made extra sticky so they survive sweat and sunscreen, and why the salve is formulated not to melt in a tent.
The care lines were shaped across years of Australian bush doof seasons. For the first American season we are tracking 54 US festivals on our Festival Circuit calendar, and the kits are built for exactly those conditions: desert dust, camping weekends and very long nights.
Sterile 0.9% saline: pharmaceutical-grade salt and water at the same concentration as your own body. Nothing medicated, nothing you need a translation app to read. Salt and water is the oldest spell there is.
Because 0.9% is isotonic: the same salt balance as your own cells. It rinses dust, dirt and dry air out of your nose without stinging or drying it further. Stronger mixes burn, weaker mixes do little. 0.9% is the concentration hospitals use for a reason.
A pump delivers a measured dose of plain saline with no propellant gas. The whole 30 ml is saline, not pressurised propellant, it cannot burst in a hot tent or a checked bag, and it works the same on day one and day three. It is also quieter and friendlier at a festival gate than a pressurised canister.
Yes. The saline is sterile and every container is factory sealed. The 5 ml vials are single dose: you crack one open, use it, and it is done, so nothing sits open collecting festival air.
Completely. The Elixir is saline, not medication. There are no decongestants, no steroids, no stimulants and nothing that appears on a banned list. It is nose care, not nose medicine, and nothing on this site is a medical claim.
They are made extra sticky on purpose. Standard strips are designed for a clean, dry face at bedtime. Festival faces are sweaty, sunscreened and dusty, so ours use a stronger adhesive that stays put through a very long night and still peels clean.
An unscented balm for the nose and lips, made for skin that has been sandblasted by a weekend of dust and sun. It is formulated not to melt in a hot tent, and it carries no fragrance because your nose has been through enough.
Extra large saline wipes, sealed one per pouch. One sealed wipe per pouch means each one is clean when you open it, for your face, your hands and everything the festival leaves behind.
Single doses of the same sterile 0.9% saline as the Elixir, in 5 ml break-open vials. They weigh nothing, they stay sealed until the moment you need one, and four of them ride in every Ritual kit.
Two reasons. Hygiene: at a festival, anything open is immediately full of dust, so single-dose sealed formats keep every use clean. And practicality: many festivals only allow sealed, unopened items through the gates. Always check your own festival's rules, but sealed and factory-fresh travels best.
Because festival gear should be worth keeping. The kits are built like apothecary sets: kraft boxes, numbered editions, sealed prophecy cards in every box. The packaging is part of the ritual, and the first 999 boxes are individually numbered and never repeated.
Nostrildamus is Australian designed, and we publish the provenance of every product: the facility, the standards and the batch details are printed on every pack, and the full manufacturing story will be published on this page before the first preorders ship. No mystery factories, no rebadged white-label stock. If a listing elsewhere cannot tell you where its contents were made, it is not us.
Buy from nostrildamus.fun or from the festival campsite stores we name on our Festival Circuit page. Every genuine first-edition box is numbered, one of 999, and carries sealed prophecy cards. Copies can imitate the box; they cannot imitate the ledger.
The first American season is 2027. Preorders open closer to each festival's gates. Names on the ledger hear first, and the first 999 boxes are the numbered edition with perks for life.
At the moment, kits ship straight to your door ahead of your festival dates. We are working with festival campsite shops on click and collect, so your kit can wait for you where you camp. Each festival's page on the Festival Circuit calendar shows what applies.
Sealed cards in every kit, each carrying a prediction of a good time. Some are common, some are not, and one is spoken of only in whispers. What will yours say?
